Off-duty firefighter rescues woman from Otonabee River

July 6, 2018, Peterborough, Ont. – A woman was rescued from the Goose Pond area of the Otonabee River on Thursday evening after an off-duty firefighter saw her in distress, called 911 and then dove in to help her as a city fire department water rescue boat rushed to the scene.
