Kingston Fire and Rescue forces retirement residence to vacate

Sept. 7, 2018, Kingston, Ont. – Fairfield Manor East has been vacated by Kingston Fire and Rescue. “We have made extraordinary efforts to work with the buildings’ owner to ensure the fire safety for these vulnerable residents without success,” Deputy Chief Kevin Donaldson, said in the news release sent out late Thursday night. “Compliance with the Ontario Fire Code remains the responsibility of the owner.” The Kingston Whig-Standard reports. | READ MORE
