June 9, 2017, Toronto – Fire crews have contained a five-alarm fire a restaurant in downtown Toronto that spread to the roofs of adjoining buildings. Firefighters responded to the blaze around 1:15 p.m. Friday, at Ryu’s Noodle Bar. More than 40 fire trucks were called in to battle the flames, which officials said began in the building’s attic. Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg said four buildings have been affected as the properties share a common roof.
