Early morning fire forces evacuation of seniors’ residence

April 8, 2019, St. John’s – A fire at a seniors’ complex in St. John’s forced the building’s residents to be evacuated early Monday morning. When firefighters with St. John’s Regional arrived just after midnight they found smoke and flames in the lobby and one resident told the Telegram that smoke had also filled some of the nearby hallways.
